Waiting patiently for his name to be called, Vaun thought nothing of the wait. Vulcans learned to wait early on. When his name was called, he rose and headed inside the medical ward proper. As statistically unlikely as it would seem, the doctor he would be seeing was the woman who thought he wanted to be a mechanic.
"I am the only Vaun currently attending Starfleet Academy. Therefore I do not understand your comment. Were you expecting another by that name?"
It would be vexing if she was. His name was unusual, even among Vulcans. Tilting his head, he gave her a questioning look when she mentioned his not being blue.
"No, I am not blue. There is little about Vulcans that is blue. It is a color more predominant in usuage amongst your race than mine."
Entering the room indicated, he took a seat on the edge of the examination table. Logically she would perform her duties to the fullest. Hopefully with more intelligence than their earlier encounter.
