Alice was oblivious to mishearing and misunderstanding Bella’s question. She looked at Bella, obviously a little confused, when she seemed to hint that Alice hadn’t answered her question. Sitting down, she put her hand down to steady herself and rested it right on Bella’s knee. It lingered there for a long time before she pulled it away.
“You don’t have this species of couch in the Slytherin Dungeon?” Alice asked playfully. “Oh, it does tricks. You’d better watch out though, he gets hungry sometimes.” She grinned, the alcohol obviously affecting her a little. “So, he might eat you,” Alice told her in a stage whisper.
Trying to be subtle, she took her wand. “Oh no!” She gestured it at two of the large cushions. “Wingardium Leviosa,” she incanted, causing the cushions to float up a little forming a V like a maw and began to light chomp at Bella as Alice made a chomping sound.
