Emma had a knack for knowing when a party was winding down even without telepathy. When she did, she took Regan's arm and began leading her towards the door. Along the way, she thanked the hosts and said goodbye to about a quarter of the people that seemed to want to say farewell.
"Always leave them wanting," Emma whispered in Regan's ear as they made their way into the cool, dark night. The street lights, as well as the ones on the common, lit the area well.
It would normally be the time for the evening to draw to a close. However, she wasn't going to let the night end so easily. Emma looked to Regan, wondering what the young girl planned next for herself. Regarding her, she gave her a questioning look hoping to prompt an answer.
