Merlin, Bellatrix was right. Rita never would have dared to bring someone along. The presence of anyone else could totally ruin everything. However, as a jolt of fear went up her spine at the idea that she was truly working without a net. "Am I? She looked around and tried to shrug coyly before turning her attention back to Bellatrix.
Bellatrix seemed a little more... Rita tried to put her finger on it. There was something about her demeanor that was charged. There was a tension there, it seemed, that was contagious. Rita had to fight the urge to squirm as Bellatrix's heavy gaze rested on her.
"Well, unlike some, I do enjoy a bit of girl talk," Rita said with a shrug. "I am starting to think you might prefer actions to words?" she mused. It took all her will but she managed to take a step forward. "I'm not pulling you away from something fun, am I?"
Rita sincerely doubted she had. Would Bellatrix left some bit of fun to meet her? No, she would have gotten in a snog, or a shag, before ever coming to meet her if she could. Right?
"Though, I did promise you something interesting, didn't I?" Rita smiled brightly. "I promise that it isn't girl talk." She steeled herself before adding, "I have no interest in you hexing me, so I came with something far more interesting than that." She chuckled. "Contrary to what some believe, I do listen more than my own voice."
Rita put her hand on her hip. "What do you like about me, Bellatrix?"
