Ginny shrugged. "I don't get it either," she assured Hermione. "I mean, I guess I get the tactic but I don't see how it's worth it, you know?" She shifted on the bed a little as she tried to get more comfortable. It was a little hard because after what had gone on earlier, Ginny had planned to close her bed curtains for a little privacy...
"The name thing is annoying and makes her sound like a burke but..." Ginny shrugged. "I don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean, people use pet names all the time." She grinned. "No matter how annoying it is to the people around them."
Ginny couldn't help but smile as Hermione blushed even redder. She was now really excited to hear about what Parvati and Lavender had been talking about! She blinked. The bit about blokes was nothing surprising; it was like hearing the sky was blue. But, the other bit was! Well, sort of...
"Really? Lavender was fondling Parvati?" She was going to need to find a way to bring that up to one or the either of them.
"Yeah, that could be quite awkward having to live with both of them," she agreed. "But I'm not sure I could help myself."
Ginny loved the feel of Hermione's leg pressing against her. It didn't help the dull ache she felt at the apex f her sides but she was willing to enjoy it even if she knew that nothing, nothing would ever come of it.
"Of course," Ginny managed to respond with an almost-straight face. Hermione had been crushing on Ron off and on since her first year. Hearing Hermione deny it would have made Ginny laugh if Hermione wasn't so bothered by the situation.
"Who wouldn't be better?" she laughed. "Me!" Ginny said, continuing to chuckle as if it were a joke. Of course, she did like the idea. She probably liked it more than she was even willing to admit to herself.
Playfully, she nudged Hermione's leg with her foot to further the illusion that her comment was completely a joke.
