Stephanie blushed. She wanted to respond, but knew she shouldn't. She had to focus on the other heroes too, she was responsible for six of them! ---
"Not a thing." Arrowette replied, walking the warehouse district with an arrow notched. Well, she saw many things, but it was all the things she didn't need to see. Finding an odd looking pile of crates, she shot at it with an explosive arrow, knocking five of Joker's goons into the street.
"There!"
Just as she was about to notch another, a large, round fella grabbed her, lifting her over his head and getting ready to slam her down. Luckily, she managed to swing out of his grasp, bow being used to choke him. Hopefully Batgirl was jumping into action, because those five clowns were not going to be happy when they recovered! ---
Danica arrived at the museum. Cow-men? Did that machine man mean bull-men? Minotaurs, it wouldn't be a first in Metropolis, that was for sure. The doors to the museum were broken open, hanging on by hinges, glass shattered. There didn't seem to be any sign of the minotaurs in the streets though...
"Mother?" She called, walking into the building. It was a long walk, looking for what she needed, but when she got in, she came upon the Greek exhibit. This was ancient? This was all Danica knew, how could this be classified ancient? With only a knowledge in modern warfare and military technology, Danica was rather behind in the times.
Ripping a spear from a statue, she walked the building slowly. Then she heard it, a quiet huff, but it was definitely beast like in nature. Before Danica could determine the direction it came from, she was hit from the back. Flying through a wall, she hit a warrior statue that dropped a shield. Getting up, she picked her spear back up and rolled her shoulders.
Returning to where she had been looking, she found the minotaur gone. Not good. Resuming her search, she found her mother. "Mother!"
Falling to her knees next to the woman, she saw that she was bleeding. "Danica. How did you- no, nevermind that. There are two within the museum, three have escaped. Help me up," Wonder Woman directed, wincing when Danica did.
"Your leg." Danica said, knowing it was healing, but slow. It was bleeding quite a bit, where a horn glanced off no doubt.
"It will be fine. We have to stop them." The pounding of hooves echoed from down the hall, making Danica turn around. Letting go of Wonder Woman, she faced the man-bull, dropping her spear and taking him by the horns the second he struck. She slid back quite a ways, still on her feet. Now it was a battle of strength! Wonder Woman worked up the strength to walk over to get the spear, the echoing of a second pair of hooves coming her way.
It all happened in a flash, Wonder Woman somehow managed to jump over the Minotaur, landing behind it and plunging the spear through its chest, piercing the heart. It fell heavily, the momentum it had carried with it pushing it towards Danica. A heavy soundly snap and crack came from the second minotaur, its head now facing the other way opposite of its direction. Danica held a horn in her hand, the minotaur falling heavily to the floor with a snapped neck. Going to the other fallen creature, she took the cloth.
Wonder Woman was crouched near by, concentrating on the pain. Danica, without a warning, lifted her mother up and carried her out. "I feel I must tell you this. There is a crisis in Metropolis. One known as the Joker has captured heroes or something of the like, and they are all in danger." Flying into the air, she landed on top of a building to let Wonder Woman recuperate.
"Then we must help, Danica." Wonder Woman said. Danica took the cloth that had been around the spear off and tied it tightly on her mother's leg. "First we take the minotaurs out, then transport all the heroes to HQ if they are injured and keep the ones who can fight." ---
"Zantana recovered." Robin voiced over the comm channel, monitoring everyone. "Impulse, watch out, more fighters on your left." ---
With three Minotaurs, Danica was feeling rather good. She had taken a break before going to recover heroes with Wonder Woman, as her desire to fight had gotten too strong.
"Breathe. Concentrate. Breathe..." The soothing voice of her mother repeated.
