Watching as the mother of her wife began to fuss over the children, Lisa was distracted as Fleur hugged her, blushing slightly as she was patted. Hey! That was new.
"She does not want to come down," Lisa said softly, only to be bombarded with the demands of her mother-in-law. A little surprised, she was about to say that she was busy with clothing, which had been on her mind... but her mother jumped in.
"What makes you think my daughter is hiding your daughter?" Mrs. Turpin replied, standing up as she made her way over to Lisa's side. Allyson sighed, shaking her head as the children looked between their grandmothers, wondering what was going on. Why couldn't they be civil like the French man and the British man that were their fathers.
Lisa was drawn into a slight embrace by her mother, more so like she was being protected and pulled away from Fleur. "Mom, it's fine."
