Camille smiled, "No...Millicent has never shopped here for anyone but herself...which led me to beleive that you were her lover. If I have overstepped my bounds - please forgive me." Her rich chocolate eyes had flecks of gold and copper in them as they looked at Daphne and nodded, "I have several things that would work for you miss." She glanced over her shoulder to see Millicent perusing their shoe selection, "Would you like Millicent to be there as we try things on - or are these to be a surprise?"

Millicent was keeping an eye on Daphne. The store was exclusive. They dealt with people they knew could pay the tabs only. And they could operate in such a way because those that were in the know and were allowed in were definitely not shy about shopping. She was glad Camille was here. She was her favorite clerk and would take care of Daphne.
The fact it would burn Pansy that Millie had brought Daphne here was a perk. Millicent was fed up with her best mate and her condescending attitude of late. This would remind Pansy that Millicent was NOT to be taken for granted.
