Even the simplest of charms still fascinated Ari. It was a whole new world, wide open and full of wonder. Sure, she'd read books about the stuff, but she'd always been told it was make believe. Her Foster parents had always told her Magic didn't actually exist. Wizard, Dragons, and all the fun things she'd dreamed about, pretended to be, ever since she was young? They weren't real...and then one day? They were!
The spoken tones snapped her focus back out of her thoughts and drew a pensive line across her lips as she squinted at the other girl. "Oh don't give me that rubbish.." Her soft accent, something she often strode to hide, tended to poke out when she'd been drinking. Modesty, humility, weren't the kind of things she often had much of a palette for, never mind tolerance. "..You know you are."
Then of course she'd have to go and call her out on blushing. Ari hated, hated, when she did that. She hated it even more when someone noticed. Giving a shake of her head, she let those dark strands fall forward in front of her face, just long enough to regain her composure before she set up, all straight and serious.
"No." She replied firmly, her voice trailing slightly. It was only a matter of seconds before she couldn't keep it together anymore, and she burst out laughing. What was so funny? That. The whole thing. The story was absolutely absurd. She cleared her throat to stifle the noise as best she could, and when she saw Emma move forward.
"You like it?" She was happy to accept the topic change, and she reached out to pinch the crinoline fabric between her thumb an index finger, massaging it for a moment, the back of her hand idly brushing against the retracting finger. "I adore this stuff.." She mused in a slight slur.
