Vicky laughed. "She so did," she agreed. Pansy Parkinson did not fall under the same exemption of Slytherins that Daphne Greengrass did. Or, at least, used to.
"You and everyone else," she observed. Hermione made nearly every witch look slow. "Though, if you spent the time in the library that she did, you might be able to give her a run for her money." Vicky's nose wrinkled. "Not that I would ever do that. Who wants to spend hours everyday in the library?"
She shrugged lightly. "I don't blame McGonagall. You're right, with those gits in charge, she has her hands full with everything going on."
The conspiratorial whisper surprised Vicky. Leaning in, she whispered back, "Another club?" That seemed...redundant. Why would they need another Charms Club? It was clear that Ginny was up to something but Vicky wasn't sure what that might be.
Listening to Ginny, she nodded along. She was happy because it seemed that Ginny was already donning the mantle of captain and wearing it well. Then, she heard something she disagreed with. Vicky shook her head. "I don't know about that, you were a great Seeker the year you played."
"I'll make sure I have my gear ready for tomorrow." Vicky was now sure she wanted to make the team. She was going to do everything she could to make that happen.
