Katie couldn't help but smile. Lucy knew her so well. It was one of the things she loved about her. However, it wasn't serving her very well at the moment. "You darn, Ravenclaws," she mused, "too smart for you own good."
"They can and they did," Katie sighed, dejected and defeated. "Seems the league did it. I bet they did because of...the other change." She wanted to look at Lucy. It would hurt but she wanted to see her while she could.
Katie lowered her head and her eyes were glassy as she regarded Lucy. "They...the Ministry...passed the Muggleborn Registration Act. Anyone who is Muggleborn needs to turn themselves in and register. I...I'm scared, Lucy. Why would they want that?" Katie choked back the lump that was rising in her throat.
