Tracey shrugged and smiled at Heidi. "I am sure you can come up with a few. You can be pretty creative when you want to be." She suspected Heidi might want to repay Megan for her help in concocting the celebration they'd enjoyed after Heidi won the Quidditch Cup.
She wasn't sure what to expect when she saw Heidi's parents. But, as usual, it was like walking into a slap. The condescending and dismissive way they looked at her; like she was nothing but a whore Heidi was using, got to her even if she knew it wasn't true.
"Hello, Mister and Misses Macavoy," Tracey greeted them, trying not to mumble.
Her father's question caught her off guard. She knew Heidi was likely to receive offers from teams but she had already started to get them? She looked over at Heidi as she stammered her way through an answer.
Tracey gave her girlfriend an adoring smile when she said she was thinking of going back to school. Tracey knew it was so Heidi could go back with her. Her father's dismissive tone threatened to make Tracey's blood boil.
Why did they treat Heidi like she was stupid?
She didn't know what she should say though. Heidi's parents were letting her stay there...
But, the way Heidi hung her head...
"She has been doing very well in her studies," Tracey chimed in, her heart hammering though she tried to hide her fear. "We have been studying very hard."
