Katie shrugged weakly. She hated the idea that people were worrying about her almost as much as she hated the idea of being a victim. Being taken care of and being weak and victimized didn't fit with her idea of herself.
Lucy's coyness made her smile. "Well, I will need to remember that…in case I want to ask," she responded with coyness before a cough wracked her body and made her shiver. She gasped in a few breaths before the pain went away.
"She was…upset," Katie said, hanging her head as she spoke. She really hated that Ginny had been so hurt. "She cried…I cried…it was awful but I think it's for the best. Like I said, I do care and I think in the long run it would just hurt more."
