Audrey laughed. “That did sound pretty stupid, didn’t it? Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.” She shrugged. “It’s just…I am sure there are girls like that who claim to like boys at school but don’t have the guts to admit it, you know?”
“I mean…if you are looking at the girl, it’d be pretty obvious it’s a girl but isn’t the feeling the same?” she wondered.
“You know how people’s faces get all tight and scrunched up when someone is being defensive? Well, it was the opposite of that,” Audrey explained. “Plus, the sounds were pretty good too.” She lightly nudged Lucy’s foot with her own.
“You are so reserved…I didn’t think you could make sounds like that,” Audrey teased.
“That’s not an answer!” Audrey complained. “Come on, tell me…”
