Pansy nodded, trying to be gracious. Draco, despite the interest he had spurred in her lately, had been a bit of a chore. His snapping at her and inattention was almost enough to drive her away had it not been so intriguing what he might be up to; even if it was a little scary. "He has had a lot on his mind."
She couldn't help but wonder how much Draco's mother knew about what Draco might have been up to. Not wanting to seem like Draco's whipped puppy, she wasn't about to run to him.
"There is a lot of turmoil after Dumbledore's death. No one really knows what happened. There are rumors that Professor Snape sided with the Death Eaters. There are also a few rumors that Potter may have had something to do with Dumbledore dying."
"No one really knows anything. It's disgusting watching people sob and mourn over that buffoon," Pansy scoffed. "Who mourns blood traitors?"
"May I?" Pansy asked, gesturing to a nearby chair.
