Penny smiled sweetly. "I agree. I hope you don't mind but I really enjoy a good fire and someone to cuddle with in front of it." She chewed her bottom lip as she looked to Jessica.
"I'm sorry about before," Penny began cryptically. "About Orla and what she said about…my ex. I have tried to tell her before that such things are rude. She just…doesn't seem to understand it yet. I hope she didn't make you feel uncomfortable?" She shifted slightly, clearly experiencing her own discomfort with the subject.
"There is always the Hog's Head," Penny offered, clearly joking. That was what she had meant by nightlife but her joked seemed to have fallen flat.
She pondered. "Would you care to go for a walk? Then I can escort you home?" Penny lightly nudged Jessica with her elbow. "I do not want it to end quite yet myself."
What she really wanted to was to retire to one of their homes. Though, Penny preferred her own; there was no evil cat there. But, that was moving too fast. The invitation to the cottage was faster than she should have been moving; Penny wasn't about to accelerate things even more.
