Thanking Penny as she took the warm cup, Jessica cupped it in her hands to warm them slightly as they stepped back into the cold. After blowing on it a bit as they walked, she took a sip of it.
"Very." Jessica nodded. How she was slightly bouncing on the balls of her feet was a clear telling sign as she blew out a breath, watching it in the cold, crisp air.
Turning to Penny, Jessica looked adorably nervous. "What if she doesn't like me?" she asked, her paranoia showing. "What if she thinks I'm a snob, or too young, or too stupid, or too preppy, or lame, or just not good enough or-"
Jessica cut herself off and blushed violently as she realized how she was rambling nervously. "Sorry." she said bashfully, taking another sip of her latte."
