"Well, I am not sure where to even begin trying to make a decision. I am happy to leave it to your judgment," Penny said graciously. "If you are comfortable picking, I will happily go along with whatever you decide."
Penny nodded along understandingly and took Jessica's explanation at face value. "I understand what you mean," Penny told her. "My last relationship, the one I mentioned before, was like that. If we had realized it earlier, it would have been better."
She looked over at the grandfather clock in the corner. "It's getting late," she observed, wondering what Jessica's take on the matter would be.
