Penny cocked her head and regarded Jessica. "You are full of surprises," she chuckled. "I assume that Ravenclaw wasn't hosting these parties?" Penny paused. "I might have hosted one or two such parties when I was thereā¦"
Nodding, Penny had trouble relating. Never one to be shy, Penny'd had a different school experience than her daughter was having. "My late husband was good at relating to Orla in that way," she replied in an even tone.
"I tend to deflect them before it comes to that," Penny admitted. "Most are friends, or at least acquaintances of, Reginald. So, there is some guilt there about trying to court me that I am happy for."
"Besides, being a widow with a child does scare people off from time to time," Penny confessed with a hint of sadness.
