“We can’t have you neglect that, now can we?” Penny quipped. She was already anxious to see Jessica again and they weren’t even done dinner yet. She began to caution herself silently.
Something was…amiss. Penny was still worried it was wishful thinking. There had been something in Jessica’s office that had made her hope but she could have easily been wrong.
“What do you look for?” she asked, her tone a little breathy with anticipation.
Finny appeared again to clear away the dishes. Once she had, she set out a huge slice of cheesecake dripping with strawberries and strawberry sauce. “Enjoy!” The House Elf disappeared in a puff of smoke.
“Finny makes the best cheesecake,” Penny said, taking her fork but waiting for Jessica to take the first bite.
