Lilyth could tell that her story had upset Ahayla. That certainly hadn’t been her goal. Though, she had to admit, that the subject had been sad for her too. She’d never had a real family the way that others had. Lilyth was used to be shut in at the cathedral.

“Thanks,” she said with a light laugh. “I might just take you up on that. Your pajamas always look so comfortable.”
