“No,” Lilyth responded sheepishly. “I was just teasing you.” She gave Ahayla a gentle kiss on the cheek as if to ease the slight. “But, if I told you what I really think, it might have happened…since…I really liked it…” Her cheeks burned due to her shyness.
“My past?” she repeated, not exactly sure what she meant. “Well, I was raised in the Cathedral of Light in Silvermoon. My father died when I was very young and my mother couldn’t support me…”
“I was raised by the priests and studied that ways of the Gods,” she continued. Pausing, she waited to see if that was what Ahayla had meant.
