Katie was really unsure what was going on. “Well, yes, but your bed isn’t here, is it?” She shrugged, wondering when things had started to sour. Maybe Amber had come down there with an ulterior motive. That thought was disappointing to the Quidditch Captain.
"I just wanted you to be able to warm up. It's nice," she said, gesturing to the shower with her head. "We could use a drying charm before the walk back, after all." She smiled using Amber's own argument against her.
Letting go of Amber, Katie slowly tried to take her towel back. “Well, I like the bet,” she admitted. She didn’t try too hard to take the towel back, indulging Amber for the moment and giving her the undivided attention she sought.
“A week is a bet that I am almost guaranteed to lose, but that you are sure to lose.” She wasn’t about to tell Amber why if she hadn’t thought of it herself. “So, if you want to make the bet, we might need to tweak it a little bit.”
Smiling, she was feeling a little off balance again. But, most of all, Katie wanted to get back to the fun they were having earlier.
