Aurora sat and listened, letting the girl beat around the bush. She wondered who in the world it was that had her in such a bloody twist. She was glad that she wasn't sipping her tea at the time.
"Lavender," she said softly, nodding a little. "... oh," she nodded, smiling. "Thank you for trusting me." She reached out to touch the girl's hand, squeezing it a little bit.
"So ... do you know if she's interested in girls or boys... or both for that matter?" She didn't drop Padma's hand. Instead she just kept holding it, stroking the back of it. "I know how hard it can be. I... well, I figured out that I liked girls when I was about your age."
