"It would be nice," she said distantly, glancing off out the window for a moment. "Some people just aren't meant for the romantic, though, I think. We're meant to just study and excel at our craft." Aurora didn't realize that she said we, including herself in the group without even thinking.
"Why don't we continue our conversation out on the deck. You can keep working through the assignment," she said as she stood. Sliding her heavy wool robes on, she closed them tightly. "You can show me what you've done so far first."
