Aurora sat at her desk, leaving the tower to the children for now. So long as no one was actually having sex, she didn't particularly care. Right now they needed as much distraction as they could get. It was clear that tensions were high and everyone felt about ready to scream. Things had gotten dark, very dark. Severus, a man who used to be her friend, was revealed as a death eater and the murderer of Albus Dumbledore. That had been a dagger in her heart. She had liked Severus a great deal, respected him.
She felt abandoned. No mail came from her family or friends because the death eaters intercepted it. She had no one here at the school. McGonnagall was too busy trying to keep the death eaters in check and the other teachers were scared for their lives. Padma, one of her best students, had asked for a tutoring session, and she'd obliged. The girl didn't need it for her grades. She was far too bright for that. Aurora was curious as to why she would want to spend this time with her, studying, when it seemed that every other teenager was running around like a chicken with their heads cut off.
She headed out onto the tower deck, scattering children as she went. She loved the moonlight and closed her eyes to absorb a bit of it. There was so much power in the moon and it was very nearly full tonight. She wrapped her robes tightly around her. She'd worn a tight black turtle neck and a black pencil skirt. She was a little shorter, so she always wore a nice heel. Today those were black as well, and a bit high.
