Professor McCoy came in and checked on her, and though he seemed inclined to help, something held him back. Jean guessed that Professor Summers must have spoken to him, or vice versa, and told him not to interfere and do the work for them. She was mildly grumpy about it.
It wasn't long after he had left that Rogue returned. The strange feeling that had vanished hours ago now returned as the younger girl came near her. Offering a smile in thanks, she didn't speak or touch the dinner that had been brought to her. Trying to get herself under control, she chalked the feeling up this time to fear of being touched.
