"Only simulations at first," she answered Rogue when she noticed the younger girl tensing up. "We won't do any dangerous tests until I am certain there is a reasonable chance of success."
Unwrapping a sandwich, Jean hoped Rogue would relax and trust her. She wasn't out to get either of them hurt or in trouble. Taking a small bite, she chewed with precision until asked if there would be more fake hands. Rolling her eyes, she swallowed her food before responding.
"No, there won't be anymore fake hands. The next time a hand touches you, I want it to be my real hand," she intoned imperiously, then blushed and shrunk away to eat as she realized how that must have sounded.
