Bellatrix closed her eyes for a moment, exhaling air through her nose before opening them once more. She didn't want to hurt Alice, no, never Alice. But whoever it was...well, they were going to get hell until the day they died. Heading for the door, Bellatrix stopped for a moment to steal a quick glance of the Hufflepuff before exiting swiftly. "Farewell."
So many emotions coursed through the Slytherin, ones she hadn't experienced before because it had always just been her, and Narcissa, to defend. Bellatrix had opened a new part, a sensitive part to Alice. One that hadn't existed until Alice had existed as someone in her life. The hallways seemed colder, and the descent into the dungeons somehow darker.
The sounds of students in the common room was muffled in her ears, despite how loud they were and only one pair of eyes followed her as she made her way into the girls' wing of the Slytherin dungeon.
