Tracey watched the graceful strength of Heidi’s lithe arms as she moved to cut the beans and when she reached for the immolation oil. She was enjoying looking, but Tracey really didn’t consider doing anything more than that. After all, it was dangerous for her to be “different” and things had gone so poorly last time…
Nodding, she didn’t think any less of Heidi for not noticing exactly how much oil she had previously used. Normally Tracey would have expected her to experiment a little, that is how she had learned. But, after destroying the first potion, Tracey was pleased by her conservative choice.
Plus, it’s an excuse to look without having to strain her neck, Tracey thought. Reaching for Heidi’s hand, Tracey took it gently before adding a hint of oil. Rubbing carefully, soon her hands gave off just a hint of smoke.
Tracey found that she had enjoyed stealing more glances at Heidi’s legs, arms and chest as the heat built up on their hands. Though she hid it well, Tracey was reluctant to pull away when she finally did.
Despite herself, a wry smile formed on her lips as she looked back to the ingredients she was preparing. “Against my better judgment,” she replied in her typical dry sense of humor, just assuming Heidi would recognize it as a joke.
