Tracey watched out of the corner of her eye as Heidi began prepare the beans. She tried to find fault, but it seemed that Heidi had found the concentration to do the task correctly. Nodding slightly in approval, Tracey wondered what she should have Heidi do next.
“Would you like to crush the powder again? And dry it?” Tracey asked, hoping that she could make peace with her partner. If things continued as they were, they might get a potion that was more than passable.
Finding that she was the distracted one this time, Tracey couldn’t seem to keep her eyes on the potion and its ingredients. Heidi’s long legs seemed far more interesting. Luckily, for the easiest parts of the potion she didn’t need to give it her full attention.
“When you are done, add it, we should be ready by then,” Tracey said, sure that Heidi would not forget to measure it this time. Merlin help her though, if she did forget…
