Heidi kept her head down pretending to read her potions text, telling herself not to let her eyes look up and watch the Slytherin girl saunter towards her, sure that if they caught hold of Tracey they would be reluctant to stop watching the other blonde.
She could here the boy sitting next to her, a Hufflepuff whose name she never caught, scramble away and knew that Tracey was the reason for his quick retreat.
Looking up slowly to Tracey's face, then her eyes, holding them for a second before tearing them away, Heidi spoke in her soft, slightly husky yet still melodic voice, "Hello."
Heidi could tell Tracey was watching her, no doubt judging her and most likely concluded on Heidi's potion skills, Not that I'll prove her wrong...</i> She ran her fingers through her hair anxiously, "Sorry you got stuck with me, but I'll do my fair share of the work, wouldn't be fair if you did it all, yeah?"
She slapped herself mentally. What was that? She probably sounded pathetic to the Slytherin.
