"Of course," Rachel responded sarcastically. It seemed luck was not with her. Though, Quinn could have just as easily been lying. After all, it wasn't hard to believe that the queen of the school didn't have something fun to do every waking second.
Her nervousness didn't abate as Quinn approached; just the opposite. Being on the stage might give her time to dodge out of the way if Quinn planned to do something to her. Mister Shu wasn't there to be a witness so she was really at the mercy of the other girl.
"They are a good brand and are perfectly sensible and stylish," Rachel responded defensively; it didn't even occur to her that Quinn might actually be paying her a sincere compliment. "My fathers bought them for me when they were in Italy."
Rachel considered it wasn't a good idea to bring up her two dads. She was already quite the freak without being raised by two gay men. Though, it wasn't like people already didn't know all about it.
