"Hmmm…" Jules hummed with wry amusement. "That is pretty damning evidence," she admitted. Reaching up, she tapped her chin with her finger. She tried not to react to Claire's whisper but wasn't wholly successful. She shrugged coyly though was clearly a bit surprised.
"She clearly adores you. I suspect I got more answers that were what I wanted to hear than what is actually the truth. She doesn't have a Slytherin's adeptness for such machinations." She grinned at Claire. "She did confirm that she has no claim on you."
She let that one sink in. "The rest was more…overheard than specifically asked about." Gossip was her source as was a conversation she happened to overhear between Heidi and Tracey.
"That sounds enchanting," Jules responded, letting Claire lead her down to the lake. "It is awfully dark and secluded down there," she mused suggestively.
