Jules nodded. Claire made an astute observation. It seemed to hold water to Jules. There was a lot of hypocrisy to go around. A pessimistic view, one she could see, was that hypocrisy was one of those circular forces that made the world go around. “Doesn’t seem to bother you any,” Jules mused. She knew a bit about Claire’s style and mode of dress outside this unique setting.
Smiling sweetly, she could tell that Claire had more questions about the jewelry she wore that would have looked more appropriate on Narcissa Malfoy than any student at Hogwarts.
Jules chuckled. “Or make themselves susceptible to?” she asked with a smirk. Not everyone was confident enough to chase. For some, it was easier to make themselves vulnerable that way.
“Maybe we should take a walk later?” She grinned impishly. “Take in the sights?”
Taking a moment, Jules finished her wine before taking Claire’s hand and allowing her to lead them to the dance floor.
