"People are hypocrites." Claire began, taking another sip of her martini as she explained. "Purebloods, often the biggest ones. They publicly denounce all things muggle, yet under the veils of the underground and such, they finds certain aspects of muggle culture a taboo that they enjoy. It's so supposedly detestable, it becomes desirable for the sear rebellion being associated with it brings."
Claire paused for a moment to take another sip. "Of course, they would never admit to that."
"I see." Claire nodded with a grin. She wanted more than ever to know the truth behind Julia's mysterious ways, but knew all would come to light eventually.
Claire chuckled. "No more than the trouble they seek out."
"The night is still young." Claire said, finishing off her martini. "Things will get more wild as the night wears on. Plus, you haven't been to the halls upstairs. No doubt there are a few couples that couldn't make it to their rooms."
Setting her glass down, Claire turned to Julia and held out her hand. "Let's dance." she offered, looking much more proper than the type of dancing they would no doubt be doing was.
