Lilyth made a disgusted little scoff. She had been right there the whole time and Laeddra had made advances toward Ellwen. She knew she shouldn’t feel slighted, but she did. Though, now that things were different, she knew she should just get past it.
“It’s not you,” she responded quickly. “I just…you were never overt. I am slow and I know I wasn’t either…” Sighing, Lilyth couldn’t believe how hard this was.
Listening intently, Lilyth felt her cheeks warm considerably. Wanting to hear more, to learn more, she hoped that Ahayla would unravel the secrets that shrouded love and lovemaking.
“No, no,” Lilyth urged. Reaching out, she gently took Ahayla by the arm and turned her back so they were facing each other. When their eyes met, her breath hitched and she was frozen simply staring at her friend.
