“No, no!” It was Tracey’s turn to blurt out an answer that was threaded with desperation. She paused and chewed her bottom lip. “It’s…” Tracey chuckled nervously. She looked to Heidi and grinned. “I’m sorry. I warned you I’d be bad at this at first,” she teased, hoping to break the tension. “It’s all…still so new, you know?”
“You’re not.” Tracey kept chewing her bottom lip. “I like hearing it, I really do. I’m…just bad at this.” She chuckled at shook her head. Reaching out, she trailed her fingers over Heidi’s cheek. “I do like the idea of us together for a long time,” Tracey told her softly. “I love you, Heidi.”
Tracey didn’t like the idea of returning to Hogwarts without Heidi. It just…wouldn’t be the same. How could she go back to a life there that was so...lacking? She nodded, trying to be supportive but not voicing her feelings.
Smiling, Tracey just shrugged. It was true, she really didn’t get the game but she wasn’t there for in-depth analysis of what she was seeing. She simply went to see Heidi and support her. Now, she could even do it openly! “That’d be fun, up until the trip to St Mungos.” Her smile turned into a grin.
