"Yeah. I mean, it's not like I'm looking to follow my father and Jessica's footsteps and work for the Ministry or anything." she shrugged. In fact, that was one of the last places she would want a career. "I just don't see the point to me taking them."
Claire cracked a smile at the compliment. Not a grin or a smirk, but a smile. She really did care for her mother, very much a Mother's daughter. "She must be." Claire said in a somewhat gentler voice before cracking into another chuckle. "Especially to have to have put up with me and my sister as little kids."
"Very true, but yet. Only a benefit. Nothing exclusive." Claire's smile reformed into her grin yet again as she remembered her and Megan's memorable train ride. Claire looked at Julia out of the corner of her eye and made note of the trace of a smile.
"I can tell you are." Claire said, leaning back on her hands and letting her abdomen stretch as she referred to the way Julia took a drag. "But nothing wrong with that. It's a social thing. There's nothing duller than smoking alone."
"Oh yeah?" Claire cocked a brow and turned to look at the Ravenclaw. Claire remembered the rumors about Julia and her supposed marriage. She kept a cool demeanor when she spoke next, "So what, Hogwarts just doesn't have anything to offer you, your eyes set elsewhere, or are you a free agent too?"
