Heidi couldn't hide her blush this time at Tracey's sincere words. "I'll always be able to look at you." Heidi said, "You're the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen."
Taking a more serious note, Heidi let her thumb run over the back of Tracey's hand. "It's in the past." she said softly. "But There's nothing you did, nothing you could have done to make me stop loving you. I could hate what you did, and I do. But I could never hate you." She paused and bit her lip again. "And that's why I want this to work. Even after all that's happened, I still want you in my life."
Heidi could tell that whatever Tracey wanted to tell her, to get off her chest wouldn't be pleasant, but she felt she did need to know. "I am afraid..." Heidi began, drawing a breath. "But tell me Tracey, what have you been doing all this time?" she asked, letting Tracey know her real question was asking what it was that Tracey felt the need to get off her shoulders.
