"I'm sorry for everything." Heidi said, her voice in her low, throaty Irish brogue sounding more sincere than ever. "I'm sorry for you seeing me like that. I'm sorry for doing that. I'm sorry for ditching you for Ginny. I'm sorry...I'm sorry I almost hurt you..." Her voice softened as her memory flashed back to when she just stopped herself from actually hitting Tracey.
Unknowingly mimicing Tracey's stance, Heidi leaned against the door frame on the other side as she waited for Tracey to open the door. She fidgeted with the orchid in her hand.
"Tracey, please." she begged softly. "Give me a second chance and I promise not to blow it. Have dinner with me tonight. Hell, I'll even cook for you. I mean, if you don't mind eating nondescript piles of blackened mess." she tried to joke.
