Tracey nodded, feeling a little guilty when Heidi sounded so crestfallen. Conflicted, she was happy that Heidi promised to be sober but seemed so depressed at the same time. “If you do…we can forget about…this,” Tracey replied, trying to make Heidi feel better and hoping she could keep her promise.
Moving to the elevator, Tracey looked at Heidi when she turned around to ride it down. It was undeniable…she still felt that connection as their eyes met. Tracey just worried that that connection might be their downfall if they continued to both be so ill adjusted.
