“Perhaps you should hire me on as your personal chef then,” Tracey joked with a wry smile. If Heidi wasn’t getting home cooked meals it meant that the house elves must have stayed with her parents. That was sad to Tracey.
Tracey shrugged when Heidi started to defend Katie. She really didn’t want to hear it. She didn’t care what the paper said, Tracey didn’t need it to tell her what she already knew. Worse, she didn’t need anything to tell her that Heidi would be hurt by not being selected.
“I still think you’d be a way better Captain,” Tracey added softly, still wishing she could summon the strength to tell Heidi the truth about how she felt.
