Tracey shrugged. Should she admit to being nervous? Anxious? Honesty had never been her strength; anything but. She sighed and shrugged again, stalling for time. "It was all right. I am glad the weekend is here." It was as close as she could come to saying that she was glad that Heidi was there.
Having made a Caesar salad this time, she took a pepper grinder out to sprinkle atop it. "Sure." After grinding out some pepper, she made Heidi a cup of tea and poured a tall, cold glass of milk for herself.
Sitting down to eat her salad, she smiled at Heidi across the table. "I am shocked that Ginny didn't tie you to a chair to prevent you from coming over," Tracey offered, though the joke sounded kind of lame.
