This world was not like hers, deciding that it was not as safe nor as nice. Letting out a shriek as the undead grabbed her hair, her immediate reaction was a quick jab upward, which didn't connect at all. She was lucky that Adam had shot the thing with something that was a lot louder than she had expected. But she would need to shower...
With another shot fired so close to her, she was free, and able to move, but she didn't. Brought out of the speeding Humvee in a fasion she hadn't expected, Danica ducked her head into Adam as they skidded to a halt, soon pulled up by the man.
The explosion had only served to displease the demon which she felt and became angry herself, able to sense much clearer now that they were close. That anger had turned into a sudden heatwave, surprising even her. Quick to turn it down, Danica knew she couldn't roast the humans beside her. Turning around, she erected a wall of fire between the undead and the humans that were her responsibility now that she had her powers back. The screams of the undead were heard as some of them caught flame and began to burn.
Turning her sights on the demon, she quickly took in its appearance before she began to look for an entirely different thing. She could see where he had his magic, and how it channeled through the demon's body. Reaching forward slightly, her palm facing the demon's body, she twisted her hand slightly, pulling it in towards her.
The demon reacted violently, a hideous noise issuing forth from its being, jerking in it's entire body. It couldn't move much, Danica realized, finding that to be rather curious. Tilting her head to the side, her magic wrapped around the chaos even tighter, this time she squeezed it, a small grin coming to her features. She had to stop playing with it.
And it didn't take long to convince her as a rather large tentacle took a swipe at her, making Danica react quickly and pull a sword from this air. The blade glinted for a moment as the tentacle approached her before she held it out, cutting through the tip that had been ready to grab her, fire coming to life from the sword. Jumping onto the tentacle, she ran up it, quickly jumping onto the next that was coming for her, she had found the opening in the demon's being that would allow her to get a firm grip on his life force.
From her high position, she noted that he was indeed bringing more zombies, and it was all that yellow stuff he was throwing out of his body. Despite her fear of heights, she lifted her hand to the air for a moment, a second wall, in front of the first one coming up, hopefully, the humans would be able to pick off whatever dead, burning zombie came through.
Ignoring the other tentacle that came at her, Danica placed a hand on the demon's skin, shuddering at the feel of how slippery it was. Closing her eyes, the transformation from green to silver easily taking place behind her eye lids, Danica drove her power into the demon's core, seperating its life essence from everything else that was in him. With a firm grip on its chaos, the sorceress used her own power to wrap tightly around it, pulling out her sword with her free hand and driving it into the demon's body to hold onto, her feet were slipping.
Soon enough, Danica's ears were deaf to the shrieks of the demon in her hold, the concentration it took to pull this out seemed tremendous and she couldn't keep it under control much. What could have been done without being seen with anything else that wasn't this size, was seen clearly as she pulled it out of him, a large swirling mass of inky darkness floating in the night sky now. Keeping her hold on it, another mass began to wrap around the darkness, molten gold covering it and shining bright for a moment before it engulfed the chaotic dark mass.
That was when Danica couldn't hold on anymore, blood from her earlier would flowed down her arm as it released her hold on the sword that should have anchored her. The demon went silent, the dead falling back and loosing whatever force had pushed them back to life. The brightness that was her force in the sky disappeared and took the demon's with it. Her eyes returned to normal, but stayed shut as she started to fall towards the ground...
