Danica turned a glare on Carter, knowing she could not blast him with fire.
Ignoring the clicking and the man to her left, she kept her arms crossed, sitting up straight, and chin high. She could see nothing but still night, lights about but no signs or clues as to what could be out in the dark, it reminded her of the forest near the palace. The place where he blood-thirsty cousins dwelt and no one was allowed. Not even the vampires dared to venture there. Shuddering slightly, she pushed the thought to the back of her mind before she saw a bright flash before them. Gasping, she saw a large appendage smash the vehicle before them. Her ears caught the sounds of the explosion, and screaming, and who the heck was Jesus?
"What in Bloody Ciephied's name is that?" She asked, gasping as an arm shot through the window on her left and the door was taken on the right. A moment of cold panic went through Danica, her eyes beholding undead in the most sickening of form. Even Sakurtis had arisen better undead than this! Reaching out to grasp Carter as he was thrown out of the vehicle, she was unable to get any hold on the man, shouting in surprise. Another instant of freezing fear hit her, stronger than the panic from earlier. She hadn't been able to grab him with her magic either, and the seatbelt had restricted her movement, leaving her quite aways off from being able to get a grip on the poor man.
Eyes wide as she caught a glimpse of the man that had been just within her reach, her view was suddenly blocked by the most hideous vision she had ever seen, finding some comfort when Adam pulled her to him. She would have kicked the dead being in the face, but she hadn't any shoes on her bare feet, her movements were limited and her magic gone for the moment. This made Danica wonder how Humans lived so helpless, disgusted with maggots. Maggots made her eyes water, she hated maggots!
Shielding her head as a splinter of pavement cut into her arm, making her hiss in pain as she shook it off. "Kill it!" She shouted as the arm fell off the one reaching through the window. She was still more focused on the one that was coming for her on her right, through Carter's door.
Turning to see how the driver was doing, she saw the expanse of the demon. She'd never seen the sights of it before! "Oh merciful Calla..." She whispered, still able to feel the Chaos from within the demon, pulsing with rage, hate, destruction. She wondered how she'd be able to handle that.
