“I take it that these movies are for entertainment purposes?” She looked up at the soldier to her right, the one that had been walking with her. Danica held no malice for him, oddly enough, but perhaps that was because he wasn’t trying to run away from her. Then again, he was the one that fired that shot at her feet, which were still bare and a little cold. Though, to another’s touch, they would not be as cold as she felt them. “If that is the case, we have dance, music, story-weavers, and various other forms of entertainment to survive on.” She shrugged, feeling a little more than just dwarfed between the two men.
Learning that Adam seemed to think she could not pick apart his real name from his title and occupation, she gave him a haughty look before shaking her head. She didn’t need to give her full title, she figured, she never used it anyway unless told, or otherwise advised, to. Glancing at the riffle in his lap, she was tempted to melt it as well, to let the magic free, but remembered him telling her that they were going to need it.
“H-hey!” She gasped as she felt his hand dive under her, causing her to jump up, trying to escape the rather rude intrusion, her anger flaring up momentairly, filling the car with more heat. She quickly called it back, knowing that she had to keep it in control. She would not allow the slightest loss of control in the vehicle. That would mean death for all those inside except for her. But then she was suddenly strapped down, her melos out of place and getting wrinkled, struggling in the confining belt. “What are you doing?” she demanded, pulling at the belt again.
Though, her question was answere with it being the law, and the soldiers being thrown forward. They were moving, but not really. From looking out the window, she saw the vehicle stationary but felt the movements accutely. “Are we moving now?” Her anger was once again forgotten, looking around to see where they were going as she struggled to get the belt off. “And take this bloody thing off me, for Ciephied’s sake. What is it?”
