There had been fire everywhere, bodies moving to the rhythm that had been pounding at the for a few mere seconds, but it had been enough to leave some panting from the exertion and the magic she was weaving into the air around them. Most had bowed out by now, leaving only two on the platform for dancers, retreating to the confort of the pillows strewn about the area. She knew that the only one left was the only one who could stand and match her in the magic they possesed, the heat she created soon intensifying as their magic crashed agianst each other until…
The magic stopped. Only her heat filled the room, flaring with warning and alarm. His invading magic shimmered from her skin, the sensation of the tightly wound bonds fading. There was no sense of those from the Dancers Coven, or the chaos of the demons, and other beings, of the famed, yet secret Demons’ City. Where only few had located, and only few who were not servants of Ciephied and Calla were allowed.
Instead, she found the chanting of witches around her, the loose strands of magic breaking from her almost immediately. With a single thought, two of them flew together against their will as she took another in her hands, hand pressed against the chest of the witch. She quickly identified what made her different from humans, glaring down at her with green eyes changing silver for the moment. “Tell me, witch. Why did you summon me from my dance?”
Did this witch know it was a sin to interrupt a dance to Ciephied? And even more so, to Calla? Her own power quickly wrapped around that of the witch’s, finding the carefully, yet loose, controlled power that she had used to summon her. “Tell me why I shouldn’t tear your magic from you, or vanquish your sisters?”
With her other hand, she pushed it toward the other two witches, bands of magic strapping them to a wall, ignoring the dust that fell on them and the walls shaking. She hadn’t even noticed the unit until she heard the laughing, looking up quickly. She was clearly outnumbered, but she could work with those odds, but…were they demons as well? And from what plane? Why had she been torn from her home? She had been about to dance with Amaris as soon as the blessing was over, she had missed her friend so. “What act of disgusting, immoral self-ndulgence have you commited, witch?”
She barely recognized the sudden pressure she had put upon the woman’s power, only hearing a whimper. In so, she placed more, wanting answers. “Answer me…”
