Tracey knew that any response would be dangerous. She did like Heidi like that, but what good could it do to say it? “Well…you know.” She smirked, hoping it looked light and fun and didn’t portray her mixed emotions before she turned back to her dinner preparations.
“It was…work.” She sighed dejectedly. Tracey really hated her job, not that she had really done anything the whole time she had been there that day, too preoccupied with Heidi to think about anything else.
“How was your day?” She looked around then back to Heidi. “It seems like you got a lot of cleaning done.”
