Heidi had to turn her head and clench her jaw to calm her anger. How could Tracey do that? Throw away happiness? "Then why, Tracey? Why did you do it? For what? You've given up on your potions for a job that sounds like, to me, the most boring thing in the world. You threw away happiness for that? Just to save your reputation?"
Nodding, Heidi was split between being jealous, sad for Tracey, and glad that she had been right at the same time.
Heidi watched Tracey move, balling her fist to stop herself from taking another swig of the alcohol. She couldn't stand the silence. "Well?" she was afraid of what Tracey thought of her confession. But she was afraid of the silence more.
